Stories from Mawa's Kitchen is a theatrical culinary journey unlike anything Aspen has seen before. This immersive, coursed dinner takes guests through the story of chef Mawa McQueen's life at her own Michelin-recommended restaurant, tracing her global journey through Afro-Mediterranean cuisine with a French-American flair.
Directed and devised by Broadway's multi-hyphenate Adam Kantor (The Band's Visit, Fiddler on the Roof, RENT), and brought to life by James Beard Award semi-finalist Mawa McQueen, the evening blends world-class theatre with a shared table — where recipes carry memory and flavor becomes language.
Presented by Theatre Aspen, TA Next, and StoryCourse for three nights only: October 23, 24 & 25 at Mawa's Kitchen (305 Aspen Airport Business Center F, Aspen, CO). Friday & Saturday at 7pm, Sunday at 6pm. Fewer than 50 seats available each night — proceeds support Theatre Aspen Education scholarships across the Roaring Fork Valley.
