Celebrate Women’s History Month with Chef Chloe Gould of Chicago’s DixiePura and Aspen’s Own Chef Mawa McQueen

What: Chef Chloe and Chef Mawa are celebrating Women’s History Month with a collaborative, 5-course dinner showcasing African & Southern-Asian Fusion. Une Femme, a brand of world-class, women-made Champagne and sparking wines that give back to women-centered charities, is partnering with the two female chefs to offer a wine pairing that will compliment the African and Southern-Asian flavors of their meal perfectly.
When: March 18, 6-9 p.m. at Mawa’s Kitchen. Aspen, Colorado.
Cost: $98 (gratuity, tax, beverages are additional) and $48 for the wine pairing. A portion of the proceeds from the March Guest Chef Dinner Pop-up will be given to Challenge Aspen.

Meet Chicago Chef Chloe Gould
Chloe Gould is the chef and owner of DixiePura Kitchen with over twenty years of experience in restaurants, hotels, and education. She is often described as a “food translator”, for her amazing ability to introduce culturally diverse flavors into the most tried and true American dishes. Born and raised on the Southside of Chicago is where she began her love for cooking at a very young age– as she recalls, “being her Grandma’s prep cook”. She graduated from Johnson and Wales University with an Associate’s in Culinary Arts and a Bachelor’s in Food Service Management.
In 2014, Chef Chloe moved to Singapore, where she taught western cuisine studies. Singapore was life changing, being immersed in the culture and exposed to true Asian Cuisine. She learned a great deal and assisted some of the world’s most inspiring culinarians, including Chef Joan Roca and Chef David Thompson, during Asia’s 50 Best Summit. Singapore greatly impacted Chef Chloe by helping her embrace her purpose. Chloe cemented her culinary style and embraced her role as the “food translator”. With a strong Southern background and a great love for all Asian cuisine, She prides herself on the creation of Southern-Asian fusion. Her vast experience in culinary arts and hospitality led her to establish DixiePura LLC. Chloe has been committed to introducing DixiePura Kitchen to the world. During the spring of 2022 she was a personal chef at the Masters. She’s partnered with local Chefs and others around the country, most recently collaborated with award-winning Chefs’ Darnell Reed in Chicago, Edourado Jordan of Seattle and the Bayhaven Food and Wine Festival in North Carolina.
Chicago Public Schools and Aramark Corp. honored Chloe for her dedication to the community and giving back to the students of Chicago. She recently partnered with Aramark to bring culturally diverse food and menus to their systems across sports entertainment and educational institutions. Giving back to her community is very important, Chef Chloe is an alumni of Chicago Public Schools, Careers through Culinary Arts Programs (C-CAP), and After School Matters.
She’s trained hundreds of competing students winning millions of dollars in scholarships to Johnson & Wales University, Culinary Institute of America, Monroe College, Art Institute and many more. Chef Chloe is also an associate board member of After School Matters.
In addition, Chef Chloe G. has been featured in Chicago Tribune detailing her giving back to the students of Chicago and ChefsRoll social platform for Juneteenth 2022. She recently competed in Food Network’s Supermarket Stakeout Competition (S4 Ep.7 Stew it or get off the lot) & WON! In December 2022, celebrity Chef Chloe G. was invited to serve Ted Phillips, the President of the Chicago Bears and his special guests. Just to add a couple more dynamic features to her achievements, she was featured at the Fancy Food Show working with the European Union demonstrating simplistic preparations using quality, sustainable ingredients from the EU. May 2023, she will be a panelist at the National Restaurant Association Show, discussing the art of crafting, culturally relevant menus to engage sophisticated diners.
